The Water Department administers four of the City’s enterprise operations: storm drains, culinary water, pressurized irrigation, and wastewater. The department is responsible for the maintenance of distribution lines, wells, storage tanks, and facilities for these operations. The department ensures the adequate supply of potable and irrigation water, the improvement of storm water conveyance, and the maintenance of the City’s sewage collection system.
The culinary water division provides safe, clean drinking water by complying to state and federal rules for water quality and distribution.
