Citizens of all ages are invited to tour any one of our 3 fire stations to get to know the firefighters in our community and learn how they serve you.
Please fill out the form or call the Fire Department’s secretary at 385.201.1081 at least two (2) weeks in advance to schedule a tour of a fire station.
Your group can be as small as one family or as large as thirty people. Large groups may be divided into smaller groups to tour the station. You must provide an adequate number of chaperones to maintain control of your group. We suggest one adult chaperone for every six children.
Approximately 45 minutes.
Tours are currently available on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday only.
Please be aware that the fire stations are on 24-hour call. Even with booked tours, the possibility exists that the crew could be called out and the station will be closed when you arrive. If the crew is not at the station for the scheduled tour, wait for 15 minutes. If the crew does not return in that time frame, please contact the secretary during business hours to reschedule your tour.
Preparation: Since our station personnel are in service during tours, please prepare the children that there will be loud noises and equipment should not be touched. The fire apparatus and ambulance may have to respond to emergencies during your visit. It is important for everyone’s safety to keep all children controlled throughout the tour.
